Christopher Ford as Gru
A nice guy in real life, Chris is proud of playing Dave Foley in Kevin McDonald: Superstar (2023) and of his frequent work with Calgary’s Morpheus Theatre and The Kinkonauts. He co-hosts the weekly Villains of Comedy improv/sketch night and Calgary’s quarterly Weird Pal Karaoke Night, sings with Improv! The Musical, teaches with the Calgary Improv School, flies a pretend spaceship in Improvised Star Trek, and is Fraser’s dad.
Megan Kerrigan as Nikki
Megan Kerrigan (she/her) is from Southern California where she got her Musical Theatre degree from Fullerton College. At the University of Calgary, she earned her BFA in Drama and founded Musical Theatre UCalgary. Recent credits include Elle Woods (Legally Blonde), Sophie (Mamma Mia) and Maggie (A Chorus Line). Previously, she played Skipper and Melinda in Jubilations Junior’s Beach Barbie’s Birthday Bash! You can catch her as Rusty this fall in 42nd Street’s Footloose! @megatronkerrigan
Munsi Parker-Munroe as Principal Jones
Munsi Parker-Munroe is thrilled to be back on stage for their seventeenth show with Jubilations and wants to thank their loving wife, Chelsea, their hilarious dogs, Quentin and Trixie, and you, for joining us. Nothing matters more than human connection, and songs and stories have been how we’ve forged connections since before the dawn of history. It’s a beautiful thing to play some small part in that process…
Wayne Arsenault as Coach Dekins
Wayne is super thrilled to be involved in his first Jubilations show! He has been acting since he was a kid and has been involved in many community theatre projects through the years. His favourite shows are the shows he has done with his daughter, Chloe, which include Mary Poppins with St. Peter’s Players, The Sound of Music with Swamp Donkey Theatre, The Miracle Worker with Workshop Theatre and many more. He hopes you enjoy the show and is super excited to meet you all at the meet and greet!
Janelle Leask as Kevin
Janelle is excited to be back on stage for another Jubilations Junior show! You may have seen her as Gamora in The Guardians of Christmas or, for one day only, Aurora/Melanie in The Secret Life of Trolls! Everyone, get your bananas ready and have a great time with Gru and his minions! Bahpoi!!
Lili Dewald as Bob
Lili is ecstatic to rejoin the performing world with Minionz: A Despicably Musical Parody! They have been performing since childhood in everything from The Lion King to Legally Blonde as a young adult. They took a quick drive into technical theatre while attending the University of Calgary but have returned to their lifelong passion for performance. They hope you enjoy the show, and of course, have lots of fun!
